She was a wonderful companion to our boys and we're sad to say she had to be put down today. That's her on the right. It's the end of an era in the Barton household..... good-bye, Frecks.

Some of you have been lucky enough to have hunted behind our Britanny, Freckles. What a hunting dog!

I never had the pleasure of hunting behind Freckles, but I know what a loss a good dog is to a family. My sympathies, Tom Barry

The loss of a good hunting dog is always difficult. The loss of a family pet is equally difficult.
Time will eventually allow your family to gleefully recall the memory of this fine dog. Godspeed you all to that time. |

thanks, guys.
It was tough putting out only one bowl of food tonight. Bella kept picking up her head looking, I guess looking for Freckles to join in on her bowl. She'd always let Freckles eat first if she went over unless it was something special, like pieces of leftover chicken, then they'd go at it together. Cindy Barton, Administrator |

I remember when Joe first start hunting freckles , no training! freckles would point and retrieve as well as dogs that were trained! There were several
instances we would be hunting an area, upon leaving freckles would locate a bird. I thought freckles just got a kick of messing with our heads! Guys this
dog would hunt for hrs none stop!!
I know you guys will miss freckles , brittanys are great family dogs. Tanya and I had one for 13yrs. Byron |

Byron, I remember one time when you picked up and lovingly carried your Brittany back to the car when we were hunting because it was clear she was becoming too
exhausted to go on. You knew then that her hunting days were over. Freckles, young then, took over for the group.
Judy, they sure are loved and part of the family. Joe's having a tough time of it. He can't really talk about it yet without crying. Cindy Barton, Administrator |
