Thanks guys for a fun shoot. I know that everyone I talked to said they loved the new use of the tower.....not the same old thing. Thanks.
Despite the mud , and maybe partly b/c of it, we had fun. sr |

Didn't get to shoot Sat., but shoot the LOST tournament on Friday and had a great time! Enjoyed all of the targets, including the new look of the tower. Now that second clay from stand number #10 was smoking across after the diving tower bird......  Even though mother nature threw a storm into the mix, the rain & mud
didn't take away the great targets & fun!
Wish I could have made the Sat. shoot! shoot well, rickyi |

Hey Sera it was good to meet you in person. I had a pretty good time even though I stunk up the place with my shooting. Not sure what the new look of the
tower comments mean as I had never been there before, but I enjoyed shooting the targets off the tower as I recall I did pretty well at those stations after
picking my way through the swamp.
 I was still brushing the dried mud
off my gear this weekend when I was shooting back in Missouri. I'll be back when I am down in the area. Next time without visiting the LA State
Police as I now know the speed limit drops on that bridge!

It was my first time driving that section of road over to Lafayette. It was early in the morning and I had my cruise set just above the speed limit. Thought
nothing of it when I went by the trooper parked by the side of the bridge. I thought I was well within the comfort zone as I know they patrol that whole area
heavilly. Was surprised to be pulled over. I was then informed that the speed limit drops by 10 MPH on that bridge. I had not seen the sign. I was told by
others that my out of state license plate and my "yankee accent" was what did me in. I hadn't been pulled over by a policeman in over 20 years!
Oh well!

It's a good thing that he didn't keep your "Shotgun" and give it to the Louisiana State Sporting Clays Assi. or to Sera to give as a door prize!!!!!
I know all well about the out of sate tag deal, I ran Ala. plates for 15 years before changing over to La. plates and I got stopped many times going & coming late at night from working offshore........ Hope to see you back over soon! rickyi |
