Member Posts: 14 Mar 30 09 8:55 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Tags : None A little off topic but i have a problem with my mule.(3010) Does anyone have a fix to make a mule idle? you have to keep your foot on the gas all the time. It starts great and runs good. I have screwed throttle adjusment screw all they way in. any help would be appreciated. thanks randy

Executive Member Posts: 202 Apr 2 09 9:04 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I am not sure how familiar you are with carburetors, but my Mule has an assortment of screws that might be mistaken for idle speed. Find someone who can recognize which screw adjusts speed and which one adjusts idle mixture. Chances are the mixture screw for idle is not set right and there is not enough throttle opening to overcome this problem. If you have mistakenly screwed the idle mixture screw in all the way, this will likely kill the ability to idle. Failing that, I would think that the idle circuit in the carb is clogged up. The only way to fix that is to disassemble and clean it and that also takes someone who understands carburetors--a dying breed in these days of fuel injection. Executive Member Posts: 637 Apr 12 09 1:35 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Randy sounds like you have turned every screw on the carb and if it has not affected the idle, then you have more of a problem than just the idle. Some of those screws affect your govenor and top speed. If you have the manual that came with it check that first. If you do not then bite the bullet and take it to your Kawasaki dealer. I have been where you are with my mule. You will be time and money ahead. I went back in and got the mechanic and complained. He came out and lifted up a hidden rubber cover that you would never find. it is in the middle of the engine not where the throttle or any of that is. turned the screw about a 16th of a turn and it now runs like a champ. There are two little flat discs that had to be drilled out and the jets screwed in place and adjusted. That cured mine. I tried to load it onto my trailer leaving the shop and it continued to do the same thing. The "mechanic" couldn't find anything wrong with it. I have been following many threads and I am certain your solution would fix mine as well. Thanks Hope to hear from you soon. New Member Posts: 3 May 13 11 11:35 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Standing on the passenger side w/ the bed up, the carburetor is on top/center. On the left side(rear) is a flexible rubber cover that attaches to the heat shield covering the carburetor. Fold the rubber upwards on the left side and in the middle along the side of the carburetor is a combo flat head/philips head screw approx. 1" down. 1/4 turn should have it racing. If it doesn't, you'll need to drop the bowl and clean the jets. Hope this helps. Robbie
